Membre de la Cinémathèque du Documentaire, la Cinémathèque de Nice propose de découvrir le film inédit en salle Inferno rosso : Joe D’Amato de Manlio Gomarasca et Massimiliano Zanin : Qui était Aristide Massaccesi, dit Joe D’Amato ? Un génie de l’horreur aux États-Unis, un maître de l’érotisme en France, le roi du porno en Italie… Plutôt un « artisan » du cinéma comme il aimait se qualifier, capable de travailler sur des films de tous les genres. Ce film raconte l’histoire de son courage, de sa folie, de sa vie consacrée à une obsession irrépressible : faire des films.

Raymond Derek is a up and coming hotshot young politician who seems to have it all. A great career, a wife, friends and a expensive home. But that all changes when he encounters sexy cabaret singer Angie. The two begin a steamy affair until the press find out and it becomes front page news. As his life falls to pieces, Raymond and Angie try to build a life together, but some things just weren’t meant to last.
